The other side of Pomona

Pomona Swap Meet is divided by a line. On one side are the cars, the other side is the swap meet. From signage to memorabilia, parts, diapers, every way to clean your ride, sunglasses, body parts, and stuff. This side of the divide is just as busy as the car side of the show. Moving through the crowd, wagons in tow, there is a little bit of everything to entertain the senses. The Pomona Swap Meet. Get there early. Next show August 9, 2015

The Pomona Swap Meet was crazy cool. Last show was a bust with the threat of bad weather, the rides and the vendors stayed home. For some reason it was easier to get into the parking lot. Usually by 6:00 the line to get in is a long, long wait, you pay and then they stream you into 2 lanes. Not so bad today, also the actual getting into the show was faster. Maybe they are trying to figure it out. Finally. Compared to the last show, today they let the sunshine in, it was already a packed house at 6:30. The parking lot was full of bugs as you entered. VW Vans, bugs, and a few selected what is that, took over the first parking lot. Haven't seen this many cars in a while at the show, nice to see the crowd so early in the morning. Came across a few Rancheros in the crowded pack. Only one stood out but any time we see a Ranchero it is always a good day. A lot of the usual suspects in the back row of perfection brought their rides out to Pomona. The line-up was awesome, most of the cars had their windows down giving the camera a chance to catch the steering wheels. If you love steering wheels car-tografi has a great selection from all the shows here at the 65.  Classics in crisis were in abundance, sitting on their trailers, nothing as beautiful as a car waiting for someone to love it, unfortunately most are just broken down for parts.

It was a full house at Pomona. So many cars, so little time.

Pomona Swap Meet April 13, 2014. Big show with lots of traffic filling both the car side and the swap part of the car show.-Falcons & Rancheros were in abundance, considering there is usually one or two. If you need a restoration project there were a few good Rancheros & Falcons to choose from the rest look like part cars. Check out the Ranchero and Falcon section to keep up with the ride. Lots of interest on the swap side of the show. Looking for a vintage gas pump, Gas Pump Rob was there with a nice selection, almost all the pumps were sold. Could this be a trend? Putting his trade in THE GARAGE section of the site if you want to check him out.

Found a new artist, Paul's Metal Werks, Paul creates 2nd chance art from parts in his metal works shop. You can get more info on Paul in THE ARTIST.

Big D as always has some interesting pieces. He has finally opened a shop called The American Antique Store, if you are looking for gas signs and vintage auto related pieces he is always located end row 22.

Pomona is a great show if you are looking to buy a car or find parts.

Pomona Swap Meet was crazy beautiful-There were a lot of great rides out today. The crowd was full house by 7:AM and the swap meet-packed with people looking at all that stuff-Big D had some great finds-always end row 22. Usually a few Falcons and Rancheros but this month was a NO-Ranchero.
