Carriage lamps were the first lighting used on the original rides, it was not until 1908 that the standard electric light became part of the classic car experience, the headlights light the way but the tail lights define the ride.

Two of our favorite classics are coming up this September. We are bring the Ranchero without the q to Cruisin' 4 a Cure, looking forward to a great car show for a great cause, don't forget the swap meet on the other side of the grounds. Belmont Shore is September 10. Get there early, it can get crowded and hot. Take a little time, catch up on a few car shows click the pic, you never know where it may take you. This is a daily driver. Showcasing the Ranchero & the Blue Q is a wonderful experience, especially when the car show is a local event. Less drive time. Meeting up with other car show enthusiast for a day of fun showing off our rides is a lot of fun. The response we receive from the Ranchero is wonderful but once the viewers find out that the matching trailer is a bbq, well it is priceless. We are taking the ride to meet up with the Road Kings this weekend at Johnny Carson Park. This is a great car show venue because it is at a park with grassy knolls, giving the classic rides a background you can't have with a street car show. The Falcon Club will be in attendance and the thought of so many Falcons and Rancheros lining the hillside will be great. If you are attending the show stop by and say hello.

The 50's showed up at the Still Saving Lives Car Show
Loving the Ford Ranchero is not always easy at a car show. We usually get to most shows early so we can shoot the show with the least amount of people surrounding the ride. Of course this means waiting for the polish up and wipe down that takes another 1/2 hour. It is amazing how much cleaning goes on at the beginning of a car show. The better the ride the more the wipe down. Most cars should be at the show before the car show opening giving a clue as to how many classic will be in attendance so when we found this classic Ranchero tucked in the corner it was a happy surprise. The '63 was just driving in when we were leaving. This years show was not at the park it was at the parking lot down the street. Hot, must have been the word of the day, happy we got there early. Ken the owner of this ride said it was an old police cruiser and showcased the blinking light show on the back window, looking good Ken thanks for bring your classic ride to the show. Last years show was a blast, a little hot but it is a park on the lawn car show with lots of trees. The LAPD bring out all their big rides including a helicopter, great family fun.

1965 Ranchero
The Pomona Swap Meet was a blast today. Packed with a wide assortment of vehicles and parts. Great crowd and cars. If you can't find what you're looking for at Pomona go for the pleasure of seeing so many rides in all states of perfection.
Leo's Ride 1965 Ranchero
Quite a few Rancheros & Falcons scattered the swap meet today. Ran into Leo and his '65. He's looking to sell this little beauty. Great color, clean with an immaculate interior, fully restored 3 years ago with a matching number rebuilt motor and C4 rebuilt trans. Looking for a new ride?
