The Plymouth Mascot and The Pomona Swap Meet

Classic Hood

The beauty of the Pomona Swap Meet is the fact that you never know what you may find. Our visit to Pomona’s March 2012 meet the Chrysler Plymouth Mayflower caught the camera’s eye.  From 1928 through the ’50s, this windswept ship recognized as the tall ships or rocket ships were encased in plastic, wrapped in chrome, created with art deco designs, for more Plymouth hood mascots check out our photo-lines at car-tografi where it is all about the parts.

As of this date, The Pomona August 2020 car show is still on; for past shows, click the pic below.

The entrance to the parking lot is always a long wait-car line, even in the early hours.
Parking is $15.00 with $10.00 for admission children under 12 free.

Pomona Swap Meet has two sides. Walking through the entrance on the left is the classic cars, divided by class or make. The right side of the entrance is for the swap meet, which also has a class breakdown but it isn’t as defined as the car swap meet side.

There are a lot of creative artist at the show some of the vendors are there every month so you can check out updated pieces or swap meet finds for any type of kustom build or handmade piece of automotive art.

When you first walk into the show, on the right are the VW and Euro classics, and on the left all things Euro/Swap. Moving into the show, find Ford, Chevy, Mopars, further up are the Impalas, car clubs, caddies, and Oldsmobile. The swap meet is broken down by classic car categories and automotive treasures from tires to baby wipes. Towards the very back of the show are the off-the-chart car clubs and closer to the drive-in entrance the Corvettes. The center of the show has food and drink vendors so bring an appetite.
