Oldsmobile Flying Lady
The Bishop Fall Car Show was an unexpected surprise. We had gone to Bishop for the fall colors. Everywhere we went there were vintage classics cars everywhere. Soon we found out that there was a car show in town. The flying lady hood mascot on this Oldsmobile classic was our first hood shot.

Picking up Otis
Yesterday was a big day; we had made arrangements to pick up our new Jack Russel Terrier. The drive was long enough that we had to guess on the timing, we were a half-hour early, so we decide to find the address and then drive around checking out the landscape. As we turned the corner there it was, a ranchero, a 1964 Ford Falcon Ranchero, fate, luck, happiness a new Jack and a Ranchero finding all on the same day.
So many thanks to Wendoverterriers for their professionalism, if your looking for a Jack Russell Terrier the experience was off the charts.
We will be introducing Otis once car shows start up again and he’s old enough to enjoy the adventure.
Car Show Notes: Woodies at the Beach is still on. so check out Car Show Events or their website for more information.

Classic Hood
The beauty of the Pomona Swap Meet is the fact that you never know what you may find. Our visit to Pomona’s March 2012 meet the Chrysler Plymouth Mayflower caught the camera’s eye. From 1928 through the ’50s, this windswept ship recognized as the tall ships or rocket ships were encased in plastic, wrapped in chrome, created with art deco designs, for more Plymouth hood mascots check out our photo-lines at car-tografi where it is all about the parts.
As of this date, The Pomona August 2020 car show is still on; for past shows, click the pic below.
Hood Mascots
Looking up the Pony Express Radiator Cap Mascots, we came across a few rides, but we found nothing on this bronze rider. A historical account about the time frame of this magnificent hood ornament doesn’t distract from the beauty the messenger encapsulates.

Classic Car Shows
July classic car shows are still on hold, leaving The Ranchero and the Blue Q searching for some inspiration. We have been shooting So. Cal. car shows for some time, the thought of going back through our automotive history to fill the car show void came into play, and so for July, we are going to try to focus on our photographic history from past shows starting with one of our favorite pics. Exhausted. Join us for a little bit of inspiration, and let’s hope everyone gets their act together to stop spreading the virus so we can get the car show mojo up and engines running again.
