The Los Angeles Fair Route 66 Edition

Main Street is at the Los Angeles Fair 2018

The Los Angeles Fair is in town, one of the attractions, the Route 66 Highway. Throughout the venue bits of the historic highway work the theme into the fairgrounds. Check-out the Millard Sheets Museum artistic wall impressions and the NHRA Motorsports Museum for car racing history.  The Los Angeles Fair is open until September 23, 2018, don’t forget to check for the many civic opportunities that will get you In for free.

The Los Angeles Fair is in town.

The NHRA Museum is part of the Pomona Fairplex, if you are going to the fair do not miss the opportunity to check out this fantastic place filled with auto racing history.  For more information on the NHRA check out their website, to see an overview of classic hot rods, car racing clubs, historical photos and memorabilia all about speed racing car-tografi tells a story.

Car Show Find

Picked up this lunch box at the Pomona Swap Meet, took it over to the GB shop, Mr Barris was sitting in his office, no one was around. I walked over, he asked if he could help me and we started to talk and finally I brought the lunch box into the conversation and asked if he would sign it. What a great afternoon, talking classics with an amazing automotive icon.
