Parked up on the hillside with fellow Falcon lovers and our Rancheros and Falcons looked great with the California sunshine as a backdrop. Perfect day! This could be the last car show at this park, everyone was a buzz with the news that the park will be re-done starting today and future car shows at this park may come to an end. TO BAD, maybe the people who made this sad decision should attend a car show. Fun family time and a really cool BBQ. What more can you ask for. Should have pics of show up by end of week. Picnic in the Park is this weekend.

This is a top 3 favorite. Some car shows allow The Q, some don't. Not only do the Road Kings love the Q but The Ranchero and The Q won Fireman's Choice last year. This car show is on the lawn at Johnny Carson Park in Burbank, The Road Kings, one of the oldest car clubs in the country, put on a great charity breakfast, showcase live music, vendors and a raffle. This is the perfect setting for a car show. It's free, the cars are amazing and the weather should be almost as perfect as the car show. You can find The Ranchero and the Blue Q sitting on the hillside. Burgers and dogs at the ready.

1960 Ranchero

Pretty laid out and crowded by 6:30. This is still a great place for viewing all types of vintage classics, in all states of greatness. A few Rancheros-should have pics up by weeks end. The Six Shooter was there, lots of metal flake sitting on a trailer. Cool milk truck from a custom shop was showing off in the back next to the grandstands by the race-track. Swap meet was the usual, scored a nice vintage coke cooler for The Blue Q-next weekend is Picnic in the Park/The Road Kings, this Car Show is a pretty little show at Johnny Carson Park in Burbank, classics on the lawn. Great Family Fun! We will be sitting on the hillside with The Rancheo & The Blue Q at the ready. Looking forward to the show.

Fabulous Fords Forever Car Show April 27, 2014 is the perfect show for viewing the Ford storyline. This was the 50 year anniversary of the Mustang so the line of Mustangs was strong. Taking over the center parking lot, the Mustangs sent all other classics to the back lot, changing the venues usual pattern of things. The Fabulous Fords Car Show has one great thing going for it and that is the parking structure. All cars are parked by their class. Rancheros, Falcons, Thunderbirds, Mustangs....givings the viewer a great way to look at the Ford line-up from vintage Model T to the history of the Ranchero.

Gas Pump Rob is a great vintage find.

Bennett 646 1949

If you are looking for a vintage gas pump or service station memorabilia, check out Gas Pump Rob. This vintage 1949, Bennett 646, located in Utah, we found it shopping Pomona Swap Meet. It is in the original condition with minimal restoration, adding a few missing pieces and keeping the patina. The Polly Gas Tin sign was at California Car Cover in Chatsworth; a little steel wool and brown paint gave it a vintage patina.

The yellow pump was one of the Gas Pump Rob selections at the Pomona Swap Meet.

Got there early, maybe too early because it looked like everyone was just getting there. This is a great atmosphere for a car show. Classic cars lining the streets of La Verne, stores open with vendors, music & food. Started the morning with a Ranchero parked on the street, then 2 more pulled in. Both '64's.

Pomona Swap Meet April 13, 2014. Big show with lots of traffic filling both the car side and the swap part of the car show.-Falcons & Rancheros were in abundance, considering there is usually one or two. If you need a restoration project there were a few good Rancheros & Falcons to choose from the rest look like part cars. Check out the Ranchero and Falcon section to keep up with the ride. Lots of interest on the swap side of the show. Looking for a vintage gas pump, Gas Pump Rob was there with a nice selection, almost all the pumps were sold. Could this be a trend? Putting his trade in THE GARAGE section of the site if you want to check him out.

Found a new artist, Paul's Metal Werks, Paul creates 2nd chance art from parts in his metal works shop. You can get more info on Paul in THE ARTIST.

Big D as always has some interesting pieces. He has finally opened a shop called The American Antique Store, if you are looking for gas signs and vintage auto related pieces he is always located end row 22.

The Ranchero & the Blue Q Beachcruiser Car Show 2014

The Beachcruiser Car Show was the perfect location to showcase the ride. With the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop all the Woodies & classics lined-up along the ocean front and main street, with the pier as a backdrop making the trip to Huntington Beach worth the drive. Every car, especially the Woodies gave a look into the beach towns history. The '65 & The Blue Q loved the drive down to Huntington Beach with lots of thumbs up along the way. Still enjoy the reaction The Q gets when it tags along with the '65. Did not come across any Falcon/Ranchero bodies at the show so had a little extra fun with The Ranchero ghost flames blending into the skyline. Amazing how many people have stories about owning or wanting a 1965 Ranchero.
